Judi is survived by her husband of 60 years John H. Hanna of Nebraska; daughters Victoria Gray (Randy) of Del Rio Texas, Kimberly Post (Ken) of North Richland Hills, Texas and son Mark Hanna (Janie) of Sugar Land Texas; her siblings Jeanine Hannah of Sun City West, Arizona and Greg Newlin of Sabetha Kansas; and nieces Valerie Smith and April Lepore. Her Grandchildren are Daniel (Julie) and Dalton (Jami) Gray, Kassidy and Kamryn Post and Reagan and Peyton Hanna. Judi has two great grandchildren, Jack and Nate Gray. She was preceded in death by her sister Karen Bailey (J.R.)
Judi was a gourmet chef and took great pride in preparing exceptional meals for friends and family. She loved to experiment with new recipes and cooking and serving her loved ones brought her so much joy.
She attended the University of Kansas and was the consummate Jay Hawk! Rock Chalk Jayhawk! You could find her in front of the television for the entire month of March to watch her Jay Hawks make it through the Madness! We all knew better than to call during a Jay Hawk game.
Judi, "the plant lady" Hanna had the greenest of thumbs. There wasn't a plant she could not grow. She was a Master Gardner and loved sharing her expertise with her family and friends. She was a wonderful mother and wife. As a military wife, she could turn a house into a home in a few hours. She used her talents and skills to serve others her entire life, putting others before her.
Judi loved being a Grandma and planning get-togethers for her family. Her family has many fond memories of our annual reunions.
"May it bring you some peace to know that the one you love knows only peace now"
A memorial service for Judi will be held Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 4:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, Texas.
