He was preceded in death by his father, Gabriel Ojeda Juarez, brother Gabriel O. Juarez Jr., and his sister Viola Carrington. He is survived by his mother Juanita Olivarez Juarez. His daughter Christine Elizabeth, granddaughter Alexandria Raquel and twin sons J. Armando Juarez and Gabriel Orlando Juarez.
He loved and was proud of his nephews and his niece, Gabriel Juarez III, Gregory Roy Juarez, John Lee Carrington, and niece Alyssa Carrington. He enjoyed spending time with them all and their families.
Armando was a devoted father who enjoyed watching all sports; he was an athlete for many years and loved to compete in most sports. He had had a passion for his beloved and sometimes not-so-loved sports teams, especially the Dallas Cowboys; he always remembered when his father would take him to see the Dallas Cowboys.
Armando graduated from Schertz Cibolo High School Class of 1967; following his graduation, he attended Pan American University before serving with the United States Coast Guard. He soon married Enedelia Cano in August 1970; although divorced, Enedelia and Armando remained lifelong friends throughout the years.
Armando developed a strong work ethic early in life; he always took counsel from his father, who instilled his value. His career began with the Southern Pacific Railroad in 1971 when the Union Pacific Railroad acquired Southern pacific becoming the most prominent US railroad; he joined Union Pacific in 1996 until he proudly retired in 2008.
Armando was a devoted Catholic, a value instilled in him by his mother at an early age. He enjoyed attending daily mass, and he got great pride from attending Sunday mass with his family. His strong foundation of belief and devotion was always ready to share with others, especially his friends and family.
