A Real Friend:
The other day I received a call from my brother letting me know one of our friends we grew up with on Lowe Avenue was on the Irish scratch sheet, Lithuanian edition. Jimmy Stulsas was a good friend. Jim had a red Schwinn bike. I remember he would ride the bike everywhere he went. When he started driving his car, the bicycle was collecting dust in his basement. 
 Jim stopped me and said he had something he was sure I could use. He had taken his bike from the basement and washed off the dust and cobwebs. He said Danny, I want you to have it because I know you will take care of it. I was speechless. I thanked Jim a thousand times for his kindness and generosity. The bike never lost its luster. It was now my time to pay it forward.
I was coaching a Little League team. One of my ball players was running to catch up with his friends riding bikes. I contacted his mother and found he did not have a bike. His parents could not afford to buy a bike. The next game, I brought the bike to the game and parked it in the dugout. When the game ended, his friends took off on their bikes leaving him behind to run after them. “Hey Billy”, It would help if you did not leave your bike in the dugout. He looked at me. I don’t have a bike coach. I explained to him the bike once belonged to my brother's best friend who passed it on to me. I want you to have it because I know you will take care of it. Billy, when you are done with this bike, Pay It Forward. Are you sure, Coach? Yes, I am sure. The bike belongs to you now. He was all smiles. He yelled out. Thank you, Coach Dan. No, I said to myself Thank you, Jim.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Jim, his family, and his Sister.

Jim would always yell " Carroway as much as you're in this computer room, you might as well learn how to process your own files".  And I did! Jim was all about teaching. Those that knew him like I did, LOVED him. You will be missed my brother!

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Anna Faye Stulsas; 3 Sons, James A. Stulsas (Stacy, wife); Joseph A. Stulsas (Tammy, wife); John A. Stulsas (Ashley, wife); Sister, Judith Ann Max (Dale, husband); 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 2 nieces.
