James Edward Kyle was born January 12, 1944 to Dorothy and Charlie Kyle in Chattanooga, Tennessee. His mother, Dorothy Ruth Hunter Kyle and sister, Amilda Ann Kyle, preceded him in death. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized. He became a deacon at Savannah Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Alexander Shepherd Sr. He loved the lord and believed in supporting the church in all ministries. He served as the Chairman of Deacons for several years. He married Lillian Banks Kyle on June 20, 1969, to this union one son Vincent Marcus Kyle. He was a faithful, gentle and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved family. He was quiet spoken with words of a “sword” to express his feelings and what was on his mind. James attended Tuskegee Institute, served in the United States Air Force. He believed in a good education, he received his Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Science Degrees from Our Lady of the Lake University in which he retired from with 25 years of service. He enjoyed helping everyone who sought advice and he was easy to talk to. On September 19, 2011 he quietly slipped into the arms of his Lord and Savior. He leaves to celebrate his life, wife Lillian Kyle, son Vincent Marcus (Michelle) Kyle, three granddaughters Mikayla, Mikah, and Mikiah Kyle, father Charlie (Janie) Kyle, sisters Velda Kyle, Pamela Houston, Ruby Jean Saunders, Ann (Warren) Hyatte, and Sahawna Kyle, brother Noel Williams. Sisters-in-law Jo Bernice Reden, Mary (Ronald) Hall, brothers-in-law Clarence (Olivia) Banks, and Darn (Gwen) Banks and a host of nephews, nieces, and a host of other family and friends. Special adopted parents Joseph and Helen Jackson. Arrangements under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home, Universal City, Texas.
