Harvey Lee Garner, Sr. passed away on June 26, 2012 at the age of 77. He was born on November 7, 1934 in Roanoke Rapids, NC to Ben and Margaret Leslie Garner. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; survived by his son, Harvey (Lee) Garner Jr., his wife Gretchen; three grandsons; four great-grandchildren; and best friend in the world Daisy. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Universal City. A visitation will be held Friday, June 29, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with the funeral service beginning at 7:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home. Interment will take place at a later date at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, NC.
