

Gregory Alan Lysaght, age 72, of Universal City, Texas passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025. Gregory was born in Detroit, MI to Rose and Charles Lysaght. Gregory enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was golfing, playing racquetball, tennis, or grilling that’s where you’d find him. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force for 12 years as a Captain. He also is a Texas State University Alumni, where he received his MBA.
Gregory’s memory will continue to live on through his wife of 34 years, Pamela Lysaght; sons, Michael Lysaght (Tommye Lysaght), Brian Hendricks (Rose Hendricks), and Greg Hendricks (Selina Hendricks); daughter, Kelly Opielski (James Opielski); brothers, Charles Lysaght Jr. (Greer Lysaght), and Michael Lysaght (Kathryn Lysaght); sister, Cynthia Wallace (Richard Wallace); grandchildren, Shane Hendricks, Ashley Hendricks, Aidan Opielski, Garret Hendricks, Brady Opielski, Jake Hendricks, and Cambrie Opielski; and great grandchild, Zoey Hendricks. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rose and Charles Lysaght; his paternal grandparents, James and Isabelle Lysaght; and his maternal grandparents, John and Nellie Borlik.
The pallbearers for Gregory are Greg Hendricks, Brian Hendricks, Michael Lysaght, Shane Hendricks, Aidan Opielski, Garret Hendricks, Jake Hendricks, and Brady Opielski.
Gregory's light will continue to shine in our hearts forever. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all the friends and relatives who have given them comfort and support in this time of need. They would also like to give a special thanks to Texas Oncology, Audie Murphy VA Medical Center, and Alamo Hospice for all the care and comfort they gave Gregory during this time.

A visitation for Gregory will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148. A rosary will occur Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148. A chapel service will occur Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148. A committal service with military honors will occur Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:35 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
