Gilbert, helped me not make a bad choice while we were in 8th grade… said I had too much good stuff going on in my life to make a bad choice. I have never forgotten that and as a coach have shared that story of brothers helping brothers many times. I loved him for that and all the other memories we shared.  Prayers for the family🙏🙏🙏

When I saw his photo it took my breath away.  It brought the reality of how life is given but can be so quickly taken away.  The last day I saw you , I knew in my heart of hearts you were going home.  My heartfelt condolences go out to your family for the void left behind from the loss of your Father, Mother and now you Gilbert.  I won't say "Rest in peace" because I believe you are doing anything but resting.  I believe Your infinite spirit lives on and you are on to your next adventure as part of the never ending expansion of creation as God intended.  Creation did not end on that 7th day in Genesis, it simply took a break.  Creation is ongoing and you my friend are at the front lines.  Please take care until we meet again.  I will miss you.

I met Gilbert here in the neighborhood some years back I would always walk by his place on my way to the store and he would almost always be outside grinding away on things to collect copper to sell at the scrap yard. One day he waved me over and from that moment we became very good friends sometimes when I would bug him he would shake his head and say I should have never waved at you lol. Gilbert was a very kind and giving person who really meant a whole lot too me I'm going to miss him but I will always have great memories of him. Rest in peace my friend.

Just a good dude! I remember growing up with him in UC. He was my brother Todd’s best friend and would always be around the house. Later in life we ran into each other when I was working for Schertz Fire Department. I would stop and see him when he was on his porch with his BBQ going. This came as a shock to me to read this and I pray for his family and friends. Rest easy my friend we will see each other again I know!

Gibo, I want to "Thank You" for who you were. When I reachout to you for conversation you were always there.

My deepest condolences to your family.

Coco was a wonderful team member of mine and was loved at Cheddar’s. I worked with him since 2019 and he always made us laugh with his silly jokes. I loved his musical taste and he was probably the only other person besides me at work who loved and appreciated the blues. 

I appreciated his hard work ethic, his can do attitude and him always being able to fix anything I couldn’t even if he brought his own tools to work. Coco didn’t see why people threw away perfectly good items and would think of others and bring things he could give away. We still have a box full of brand new scotch tape we are using, one time he brought new wheels for our prep carts and repaired them and my favorite was he brought a five gallon bucket FULL of Lego pieces. I found a bag full and cleaned them which my Son still has to this day. 

    He loved his sweet Mom and Dad who I always enjoyed talking to. I remember him sharing a Christmas picture of him holding his Grandbaby who he was so proud of. 

   Coco will be very missed. He was a character, a good human and a wonderful team member that is so very hard to find.

There’s so many priceless moments that Jennifer & I have spent in this Delgado home, especially for me in my high school years in San Antonio.  One of my last memories with my cousin Gibo was on December 4th, 2022 when I was able to spend time with Gibo and we were picking him up from his apartment for a late work shift - he ran out to get in the car, then told to me “wait” he quickly got out of the car and ran back to his front porch and turned on his outside Christmas lights and I asked him why he wanted them on and his reply was “because I love to see them lite especially when I come home from work”.  We both enjoyed the moment together.

I will miss you Gibo.

It is so hard to believe Gibo is no longer with us and I'm so sorry you are going through this hard times so soon. I have many good and funny memories of Gibo growing up. I wish you peace, comfort, and love during your time of grief. Love you very much.
