David Michael Shepard

Son of Burl and Maryann Shepard of Plainview,TX where he grew up and graduated from Plainview High School.

He is survived by his Mother, Maryann Shepard of Plainview Texas, his wife Sally Shepard of Universal City, TX, his two daughters, Brandi Mack of Auburn, New York, and Carrie Shepard of Universal City, TX, his grandson Peter Epperson III of Auburn, New York, his granddaughter Kaitlin Epperson of Universal City, TX, and 3 great-grandsons Zayden and Dean Epperson of Auburn, New York, and Michael LaVoy Jr. of Universal City, TX, his three sisters Linda Langston of Odessa, TX, Carolyn Bradley of Plainview, TX, and Pam Seamands of Comanche, TX.

Mike retired from the USAF after serving for 24 years. He then worked for Boeing for a few years before starting his Civil Service career where he worked for the last seven years.

He was known to his family and friends as a Patriot, strong man, loving husband, son, father, brother and grandfather.

A visitation for Mike will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148. A prayer service will occur Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148. A committal service will occur Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
