Bev's imagination and enthusiasm for recreation center programming added so much to our quality of life at Sembach Air Base, West Germany in the years I was there (1984-86). Not only did she provide excellent programs, but her oversight and follow-through were impeccable. She had a wonderful personality and got along marvelously with everyone. I know she carried forth that same drive and quest for customer service in her job at the Pentagon. It was my privilege to know and work with her.

Beverly and I go back 13 years working together as volunteers in Universal City and becoming fast friends.  She was a hard working member of Parks Partners, a non profit here that we inherited. Over the years we raised a lot of money that helped with the renovation of our city parks, which Beverly took g rest pride in.  She had a huge heart for her community and we sure did have a lot of fun together. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I will miss you.

Councilmember Beverly Volle served 12 years as the small but mighty voice on the Universal City Council. Her love of pets inspired her as a founding member of the Dog Park Committee and a volunteer at the Animal Care and Control where she ran the Volunteer Orientation program. For many years, Beverly also sat on the board for Parks Partners assisting with the development of parks within the City. She was also an active member of the Universal City Citizens Patrol Academy Alumni Association.
After surviving the attack at the Pentagon on 9/11, Beverly returned to Universal City where she was instrumental in the creation of The Heroes Walk followed by the 9/11 Memorial at Red Horse Park.
Even though Beverly sat on many boards, committees, and Council, she was always willing to volunteer for events or other various organizations that simply needed a hand.
Beverly Volle's impact in Universal City will be felt by many for decades to come.

Beverly was a wonderful woman who loved her city. She Was always there to volunteer for anything, happening here in our city ,  served on City Council and served with a smile.  I’ve known her since the 1980’s at Brooks AFB she was kind and very friendly. She will be missed terribly.

I met Bev in 1985 at Sembach Air Base, Germany.  Because of her, I had a piano at the Rec center to practice on, which led to my meeting other musicians and artsy types that are still in my life today, as I continue in a career as a professional entertainer.  May God bless and comfort her loved ones during this difficult time. 

What an honor to have know Bev since the late 1980’s. She was a quiet woman who who could navigate the ever changing MWR/Services  path, work alongside our military and retire to take on several volunteer positions  as well as be elected to serve as a city councilwoman. Beverly loved her family, close friends and stealing M&M’s out of my trail mix during our Bunco games.

My deepest condolences to Bev's family and friends. Bev was a great friend to many of us here in UC. We became friends immediately when we met. One thing I love about her was her spunkiness and she was sassy. Most of all she was a true friend and I love her dearly. RIP my beautiful and sweet friend. I'm really going to miss you.
