Jacqueline M Nosek

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of our beloved Mother.

Mom was born September 7,1937, in Harrisburg P.A. to Thomas & Isabel (Harris} Smith (both predecease mom). Mom was raised in Taylor P.A. then moved to Newark, New Jersey (down neck), mom worked for Burry Biscuits in Elizabeth NJ. Mom met our dad in Newark, married William Nosek (Dad passed away in 1994).

Mom and Dad moved to Vailsburg NJ, a section of Newark NJ where they decided to start a family, mom left Burry's and became the best homemaker, Mom always did her best as a wife and mother. Mom went to every school function, was on the PTA, went on most of our class trips as a chaperone. Mom had many fond memories while living in Newark.

In 1981 we settled in Union NJ where mom resided for over 44 years. Mom enjoyed being in a bowling league with her niece Sandi who was mom's sidekick and her sister Lavada who always had them laughing. When mom and her sister's and brother got together it was like a comedy show your face and stomach hurt so much from laughing. On St. Patrick's Day you could always count on mom baking Irish Soda breads for her nephew Dick (mom's shopping partner too). If mom knew you liked something, she would make or bake it for you the next time she was going to visit.

Mom was always a caregiver, when our dad was sick mom took care of him at home until his last breath. Mom never worried about herself, mom worried about everyone else, for mom family came first.

Mom went by many names - Mommy, Jackie, Aunt Bucky, Aunt Jackie, Mrs. Nosek the one she was most proud of was Mema.

Mom's greatest joy is her identical twin granddaughters Gabbi & Danni. Mom would do anything for her girls, when they were little mom would make a fort with chairs draped with sheets over them, hide inside with the girls, it was great to hear them all giggling. Once you have grandchildren all things that mom yelled at us about as kids went right out the window, mom's grandbabies could do no wrong.

Mom leaves behind her loving son William Nosek of Union Beach NJ and daughter Catherine King beloved son-in-law Daniel King of Poughkeepsie NY, cherished granddaughters Gabrielle & Danielle Nosek along with their mother Oveth Nosek, Grandson Shannon Bradley, nieces & nephews Debra Muscarella & family, Kenny Bujalski & family, Tara Glynn, Natalia Glynn, Bryan Glynn & family along with mom's new found family Delta, Debbie, Pat and several other nieces and nephews along with extended family and friends.

Mom is predeceased by her beloved husband William W. Nosek, cherished brother and sisters­ Lorriane Welgus, Lavada Cicchino, Lois Bujalski, Thomas Smith, mom's cherished niece Sandra Glynn, nephew Richard Glynn, niece Catherine Meyer, nephew Glenn Muscarella along with several family in­ laws. Finally, her grand fur babies who have passed over the rainbow - Doogie, Chicky, Sasha & Peanut.

A special Thank you to the staff at South Mountain Rehabilitation and Nursing home in Union NJ, Velma, Mary, Mama, Keisha & Evoke who were so kind and compassionate.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083 on Thursday, December 26, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday December 27, 2024 at 10:30 AM followed by interment in the Hollywood Memorial Park, 1500 Stuyvesant Ave., Union, NJ 07083.
