Francis P. Calvaruso

Francis P. Calvaruso, age 95, of Union, NJ, passed peacefully on Sunday, July 1, 2018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Church, 971 Suburban Road, Union, NJ, on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield, NJ. The family will receive their family and friends at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ, on Thursday July 6, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 PM.

Frank was Director of Project Engineering for Exxon, Revlon, Merck, and Ciba-Geigy in Summit, NJ, before his retirement. Later in life, he was employed by the city of Summit as a school consultant. Frank graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Brooklyn Polytechnic and a Masters from the University of Louisville. He served his country proudly in the U. S. Navy during WWII. He is survived by his beloved wife Josephine Grasso Calvaruso, his devoted sons Michael, Frank and Paul, his loving daughter-in-laws Rita, Frances and Lisa, and his loving grandsons Matthew, Gregg, Andrew and Keith. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142 Memphis, TN.
