Evelyn J. Todd

Evelyn was born February 1919 to her parents John and Caroline Knox. She was one of 6 children and the only girl. Her 5 brothers are predeceased. She was married to Frederick H. Helwig in 1939 (deceased), lived in Union, NJ and had 3 children. She married Russell Todd (deceased) in 1984 and moved to Westfield.

Survived by her 3 children: Patricia Seldon, Oregon, Frederick “Rick” Helwig and his wife Cindy (deceased), Brick, NJ, and Pamela Davies and her husband Robert, Hillsdale, NJ. Her grandchildren are Jessica and Robert Davies. She was the matriarch of the Knox family and loved by all.

Evelyn left Westfield about 18 years ago and settled at Seabrook Village, Tinton Falls for the remaining years of her life.

She loved to be social and to attend family gatherings. She was the life of the party and a fashionista to the tee! Evelyn enjoyed the special time cruising with her 2 daughters. She enjoyed the lunches she had with her son and daughter and when the cousins came to visit. She laughed and told her stories that were filled with memories of the times long ago.

Her smile and laugh will be missed by all. She lived a great life right to the end and was surrounded by her family who love her very much.

Evelyn J Todd will be entombed in a private service on November 17th.

A Memorial luncheon will be held at a later date. At that time relatives and friends will be invited to celebrate her life and share their stories. Time to be announced
