Ellen K Jones

Ellen Katina Jones, age 66, of East Brunswick, New Jersey, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday (April 11, 2017) at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Tina was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 8, 1950 and was the daughter of the late James and Katherine (Moses) Miller. While working as a medical assistant, Tina met and later married Robert Melvin Jones and to this union was born one son, Eric Christopher Jones. Tina worked at Pepsi Bottling Group for 24 years where she had countless friends before transitioning to a position at Edison-Metuchen Orthopaedic Group and finally retiring in 2016 due to her illness. Tina leaves her son, Eric Jones of Perth Amboy, NJ, and sister and brother-in-law, Roland and Ida Jean Tisdale. Ellen also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

Tina was a God fearing woman who lived her life for Christ and was truly an angel on earth. She loved being a mother and spending quality time with family and a close circle of friends. Tina loved reading God's Word, helping people, old movies and watching some of her favorite programs on Lifetime and Investigation Discovery.

Tina was a beautiful person on both the inside and outside with a smile that could light up a room and a very contagious laugh. She was a very thoughtful and caring person who put the needs of others first. Her daily saying to her son was to be "prayerful and careful." She is loved and will be missed, but know that she's looking down and will be looking forward to meeting her loved ones at heaven's gates.
