Carole Jean Schau

Born to Paul and Jean (nee Kraus) Steiner, sister of Kenneth Steiner, Carole was deeply passionate about her family, particularly her children and grandchildren, whom she adored. She cherished the time spent with them in Union and Beachwood. Carole was a constant source of love, guidance, and joy in their lives.

Carole was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Edward Schau. She is survived by her children, Donna Kirkpatrick (husband John) and William Joseph Schau (wife Lorrae), and her cherished grandchildren, Brian Kirkpatrick, Kaitlyn Kirkpatrick, and Lila Schau.

Carole was a Battin High School (Elizabeth) graduate prior to marrying and raising her children. As for her professional life, Carole worked at the Professional School of Business in Millburn and OK Towel & Uniform Supply Co of Elizabeth where she was known for her dedication and attention to detail. Upon retiring Carole cared for her three grandchildren. Outside of her work, Carole was an avid reader, finding great joy in books and stories, and was always eager to share her knowledge and love of reading with her family.

A visitation will be held on November 21, 2024 from 10-11 AM McCracken Funeral Home at 1500 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083 with a prayer service at 11 AM followed by burial at Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, NJ 07067
