Alfonso J. Marrese Sr., 62, of Fanwood, N.J., formerly of Union, N.J., entered into rest on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011. The family will receive their relatives and friends at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave. Union, N.J., on Wednesday, Feb. 16, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at Holy Spirit Church, Union, N.J., on Thursday, Feb. 17, at 9:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, N.J. Mr. Marrese was a quality control manager for General Motors Corporation in Linden, N.J., for 33 years. He was the beloved companion of Jill Aroeste; loving father of Alfonso J. Marrese Jr. and his wife, Andreia; dear brother of Peter Marrese and his wife, Susan; cherished grandfather of Giovanni and Alyssa Marrese, and loving uncle of Robert Marrese. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Alfonso's memory to the American Heart Association , 1 Union St. No. 301, Robbinsville, N.J. 08691 would be appreciated by his family.
