Yolanda Mingalone

Yolanda Mingalone (nee. Sorrentino) 90, of Fairview, passed away on Saturday 1/7/17. She was born in Pottstown, PA and lived in Union City for many years before moving to Fairview 16 years ago. Yolanda was a Hair Dresser for Yolanda’s Beauty Salon in NYC for 34 years then worked for the Union City Municipal Court System 28 years before retiring at age 84.

She was the beloved wife of the late Rocco Mingalone. She was the devoted mother of Jane Voorhees and her late husband Robert, Linda Segond and husband Richard, Ronald Mingalone and wife Kelly and the late Debra Mingalone. Yolanda was the loving grandmother of Robert and Scott Voorhees, Alexis, Ronald Jr., and Devin Mingalone as well as great grandchildren Declan, Cade, Avery, Kayla and Emily Voohees. She was predeceased by her dear brothers and sisters: Mary Oliveri, Carmela Sperat, Connie Wilson, Frank and James Sorrentino. Yolanda was also the loving aunt of many devoted nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be on Thursday 1/12/17 at 9am from the Leber Funeral Home in Union City then to Sts. Joseph and Michael Church where at 10am a mass will be offered. The interment will follow at Madonna Cemetery. The visitation will be on Tuesday from 6 ~ 8pm and Wednesday from 2 ~ 4 & 7 ~ 9pm. Donation may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
