Edward (Eddie) James Devaney of Weehawken died on Friday, August 5, 2022 at his home. Eddie was born in New York City on March 18, 1958. He was a longtime resident of Weehawken for over 60 years. Eddie loved spending time with his son Jason and following his favorite teams: the NY Yankees, NY Rangers, and the Green Bay Packers.
He is predeceased by his parents John and Rosemarie (Peggy) Devaney, and his brother Michael Devaney. Surviving are his son Jason Devaney, Jason’s mother Maureen Casey, siblings John and Kathy Devaney, Bobby and Rosemarie Devaney, Rose and Walter Bartkus, Sharon and Mike Avoletta, Patsy and Steve Schultz, Donna Devaney, Chris and Kelly Devaney. He also leaves behind 10 nieces, 7 nephews, and 18 great nieces and nephews. That he loved dearly.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 10, 2022 4pm-8pm at Leber’s Funeral Home, Kennedy Blvd at 20th Street Union City, NJ 07087. A funeral mass will be Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 11am at St. Lawrence Church in Weehawken, NJ.
