Mildred Mae MacDonald

Mildred was born in Norwich, the daughter of the late Burton Barber and Ruth (Murray) Barber, both of Norwich.

She married Allen MacDonald May 16 1952. He passed away January 13 1998. She was known affectionately by Dad as "Pinklebee" and by all of her siblings as Mim.

Mim loved the outdoors and would frequently garden. She was a person of simple wants and needs She was a housewife who raised her two boys Allen and Kevin in Uncasville.

She leaves her sons Allen and Kevin and his wife Judy (Forget) MacDonald, her grandchildren Derek, Brandon and Heather Mae, and great grandchildren Sawyer, Everett, Annie Mae and Aurora. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her siblings brothers Burton "Buddy " Barber, Charlie Barber, Ruth Himmelstein and Joyce Dux. She is also predeceased by her dear niece Donna Barsalou.

Visitation will be held at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen, 53 Rte 32, Montville on Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 2 pm to 4 pm. Burial will be held at a later date and will be private for the family.
