Donna M Terry

Donna M. Terry, 78, passed away Oct. 17, 2024, supported and surrounded by her loving family and dearest friends. Deeply committed to community, faith, and justice for all peoples, Donna's life was a lesson in how to love.

Donna earned her LPN in 1979 and her RN in 1988. A compassionate caregiver, Donna worked on the respiratory unit at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for the majority of her career, and in later years as a Hospice nurse. Her dedication extended beyond her professional life into her spiritual community. A lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, Donna was deeply involved in fostering community ties and advocating for peace and justice, living her faith.

Donna's legacy is carried on by her loving family, her sister, Kathy (Patrick) Caffery; son, Kevin (Angela) Terry; daughter, Tracey Terry (Joseph) Edwards; and cherished grandchildren, Isaiah, Caleb, and Emma Terry and Elijah and Micah Hauser. She is lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews and their families, as well as innumerable friends. Donna was preceded in death by her twin sister, Rosemary LeBailey; and her parents, Hilda and Donald McNeill.

Donna's life was marked by her unwavering kindness, commitment, and the profound impact she had on those around her. She will be remembered as a beacon of love and selfless service, whose life will continue to inspire those who knew her. Alhamdulillah! Presente!

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Nov. 16, 2024, at All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church, New London.
