Sherry was a public school teacher, stained glass artist, and avid sailor. She was a devoted member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and enjoyed volunteering at the Smith County Historical Society. She is survived by her husband and High School sweetheart, Sam C. Kidd, and her two children, Katherine Rose Brent, and James Bradley Kidd, all of Tyler.
Sherry loved the below quote, from the Velveteen Rabbit, and would have loved to share it:
"Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out, and you get loose in your joints, and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand"
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.tylermemorial.com for the Kidd family.
