Nellie Fay Robertson

She attended public schools in Snyder and Hermleigh graduating in 1940, and attended Plainview nursing school receiving an RN in 1943. She moved to Columbus, GA with her husband Randy and lived there 23 years where she belonged to the American nurses association, the Muscogee Woman’s Club and was on the board of the Mental Health Association. She lived in Tyler since that time and retired from Medical Center Hospital in 1984 after ten years as a staff RN. She was a member of the 1st Christian Church, Naomi Circle and Builders Sunday school class.

She was preceded in death by her husband Randolph C Robertson, parents, nine brothers and sisters.

Survivors include daughters: Julie Thompson of Garland and Celeste Salas of Palestine, grandchildren: Jeremy, Emily & Ryan Thompson, Amy Kimber & Melanie Salas, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Tyler Memorial Park with visitation at 10 a.m. and a memorial service at 12:30 p.m. at the 1st Christian Church.
