A celebration of life for Carolyn will be held Friday, July 7, 2023 at 10:00 AM with visitation 9-10am at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, 12053 State Highway 64 West, Tyler, Texas 75704. Mrs. Jones was born on August 23, 1933 in Tyler to Henry M. and Lorah Deland Shelton. She was the registar for John Tyler High School for many years and a member of Green Acres Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Milton Jones of Tyler; daughter, Linda Brasch and husband, Bob of Marshall, Sherry LaPrade and husband, Rob of Houston; son, David Milton Jones and wife, Katy of Tyler; grandchildren, Michael Harris and wife, Daisey, Stephanie Finegan and husband, John David, Jeni Wilkins and husband, Scotryne and Chris Jones; 7 great-grandchildren, and 3 nephews. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers.
Carolyn will be laid to rest in Tyler Memorial Funeral Home - Cemetery and Mausoleum, 12053 State Highway 64 West, Tyler, TX 75704-6941.
