Maria Irma Arellano celebrated 75 years with us all before leaving to be with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, November 1, 2020.
Maria Irma was born to Maria Bernabe and Santiago Renteria in Durango, Durango.
She was a nurse in Nuevo Laredo, Tamps. MX. She met Juan D. Arellano in 1970 in Fort Worth, TX while attending a church conference. They began dating after he graduated from The Sunset School of Preaching located in Lubbock, TX and the two lovebirds were married in December 23, 1972 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamps. MX where Juan began his ministry in Laredo, TX.
From 1974-1980, they were blessed to have four amazingly wonderful daughters, Irma Itzamara, Mitzi, Nidia and Nancy.
In 1980, they both began their work for the Lord to establish the congregation in Northside Church of Christ in Houston, TX and then East Texas. Maria Irma was a faithful servant dedicated to her family and congregation.
Maria Irma is survived by her loving husband of almost 48 years Juan Arellano, her daughters and son-in-laws, Irma and Richard Rodriguez, Mitzi and David Ramcharan, Nidia and Shani Hassan, and Nancy and Misael Rangel; her beloved grandchildren, Nathan Henson, Moses and Aaron Rangel; her siblings Carmen Acosta, Maria Cervantes, Jose Renteria and Refugio Sanchez; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Santiago and Bernabe Renteria and siblings, Basilia Zezatti, Agustina Covarrubias and Rodrigo Renteria.
Maria Irma was an exemplary Christian woman who dedicated her whole life to living a faithful life. Her dedication to her family was so evident and for that she was highly recognized by our beloved community members. She served as an inspiration in her marriage to a preacher, all the while raising four amazingly strong women.
It's hard to lose a wife or a mother, but we have the assurance of a future reunion. What a day of rejoicing that will be!
Time of Visitation will be held on November 7, 2020 at 3:00 pm at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, 12053 State Highway 64 W, Tyler, Texas 75704.
The Celebration of Life will be held on November 8, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Shiloh Road Church of Christ, 1801 Shiloh Rd, Tyler, Texas 75703.
Grave Side Service will be privately held for Arellano and Renteria family on November 8, 2020 at 4:00 pm at Tyler Memorial Cemetery, 12053 State Highway 64 W, Tyler, Texas 75704.
