Margaret was born in Mississippi, but spent most of her childhood and young adulthood in Alabama where she graduated from Hueytown High School. She met her future husband when she was a senior in high school and he had just returned from WWII. Margaret and Frank married four years later, eventually had two daughters and moved to Tyler in the late 50's.
Margaret and Frank enjoyed 58 loving years together. They spent a lot of the time traveling in their retirement years making yearly trips to Branson, because they both loved live music. Margaret worked with her daughter, Karen, at Karen's Health Food's for 30 years. She loved the customers and they loved her. Margaret was such a generous person giving to numerous charities and always helping someone in need. She was an excellent cook, housekeeper, and seamstress, making many of her daughter's formal dresses for school dances.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Effie; her in laws, V.U. and Julia; her stepson, Eric; her sisters, Catherine, Irene and Bebie; and her brothers, Billy and Ralph (Pete).
Left to mourn this special woman are her daughters Vicki and Karen; her son in law, Joe; her grandson, Michael; her daughter in law, Patty; her sister, Carolyn; her brother, Jerry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
We will miss this sweet caring woman terribly but we know someday we will see her again in the Kingdom of Heaven.
A celebration of life for Margaret will be held Friday, October 14, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, following the graveside service at 3:00 pm at Tyler Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.tylermemorial.com for the Brown family.
