Funeral Services for Linda Leigh Tolar, 52, of Tyler, will be held on Monday, August 9, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Lloyd James Funeral Home with Rev. Gerry Giles officiating. A private burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Linda was born January 2, 1969 in Houston, Texas to Byron and Julia Sledd Tolar and passed away Friday, August 6, 2021.
She was member of Marvin United Methodist Church and sang in the choir. She received her bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Texas State University.
Linda's father, Byron Tolar preceded her in death. She is survived by her mother Julia Tolar of Tyler, sister Nancy Maples and husband Steve of Wharton, brothers Michael Tolar of Hurst, James Thomas Cook, Jr. and wife Judi of Holly Lake, David Cook and wife Cindy of Atlanta, Georgia and Steven Cook of Dallas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials can be made to Marvin United Methodist Church or Meals on Wheels in Linda's name.
