Juan was born December 18, 1949 in Edinburg, TX to Federico Vela Ramirez and Epimenia Dominguez Ramirez.
Juan passed away November 5, 2020 in Tyler, TX.
Juan grew up in Edinburg, TX before being drafted to Vietnam in 1970. While serving his country, Juan received several medals including the National Defense Service Medal. In his spare time, he enjoyed BBQ, gardening, hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Tyler.
He is survived by his Wife, Nina Ramirez; Daughter, Rebecca Ortega; Son, Johnny Ramirez Jr.; Daughter, Loana Garcia; Daughter, Betty McQuiston; Daughter, Lisa Garcia; Son, Raymond Garcia; Son, Michael Garcia; 21 Grandchildren; Brother, Rodrigo & Natividad Ramirez; Sister, Idolina & Refugio Luna; Sister, Isaura & Humberto Silva; and Sister, Empimenia & Eliborio Rodrigez.
Juan is preceded in death by his Parents, Federico & Epimenia Ramirez; 1 Brother and 1 Sister.
Interment will be at Tyler Memorial Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Tuesday form 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
