Visitation for Jonathan Burkett, 28 of Tyler, will be held at 9am Saturday February 2nd at Lloyd James Funeral Home Chapel with a celebration of life to follow at 10am with Pastor Sam DeVille officiating.
Jonathan was born on February 5th 1990 in Tyler, Texas and went to be with his Lord on January 23rd 2019. He was employed by Cannon Steel of Tyler. Naturally curious, Jonathan became an avid reader with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. Everyone who knew him well knew him as a guy who was able to find the bright & humorous side of any situation, and he never hesitated to find a way to share it to bring joy to those around him. He married the love of his life on March 11th 2018.
He adored and is survived by his bride Stephenie; son Michael 9, daughters Kyleigh 8 & MicKenna 5 all of Tyler; parents Rodney and Michelle Burkett of Tyler; grandparents Sarah Sturgeon of Tyler and James Pittman of Tyler; mother-in-law Dana Snodgrass of Tyler; brothers Justin Burkett and wife Ashley, Kindel Burkett, and Jacob Burkett and girlfriend Maira Carreño all of Tyler; sister Kayla Lawrence and husband Christopher of Tyler; brothers-in-law Justin Massey and wife Jaclyn and Kenneth Massey all of Tyler; sister-in-law Brianna Winn of Tyler, nephews Mark Burkett and Judson Massey of Tyler; nieces Emma Burkett, Treasure Lawrence and Linlee Massey all of Tyler; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family request no flowers be sent. A Jonathan Burkett Memorial Fund has been established for his children at Vera Bank (formerly Citizens National Bank) if you wish to contribute.
