Dana Marie Walton

Dana was born on April 4, 1983 in Pasadena, Texas, to Bob and Patty Walton (Pierce). She attended Whitehouse High School from 1997-2001. She went on to college at Texas Tech in 2001, then graduated with her Bachelor's in Business in 2006.

Dana worked for JP Morgan as a personal banker before she worked in Dallas as a financial recruiter for many years, until she came back to East Texas. Dana was also an entrepreneur, owning Dana's Decor & More and selling her craft items on Etsy.

Dana loved to work outdoors. She worked on her land and even taught herself how to drive a tractor. Dana was a very motivated person to learn how to do things, including a lot of arts and crafts. Some of her arts and crafts hobbies included making t-shirts, signs, wreaths, wood-working, and crocheting, among others. She enjoyed making things for her friends and family, as well as selling her items at events the benefited animals, such as Pets in the Park. Dana was a huge animal lover and was a dog mom herself. Dana also liked sports. She was a big Green Bay Packers fan, played soccer since she was 4 years old and throughout high school when she also played volleyball, and she played soccer at Texas Tech.

Dana was predeceased by her brother Daniel Walton and sister-in-law Jacqueline Rose Soderberg Walton. She is survived by her parents Bob and Patty Walton, brother Bobby Walton, aunt Pam Madden, uncle Scott Madden, cousins Michael Madden, Amber, McKinley, and Mason, Matthew Madden, Brenda, and Peyton, and nephew Brady Walton.

Dana will be greatly missed by her friends, family, and loved ones and her bright spirit will continue to touch those she was close to.

A time of visitation for Dana will be held from 6-8pm on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Lloyd James Funeral Home, located at 1011 E. 1st Street, Tyler, Texas 75701. The graveside service for Dana is private for family only.
