Bradley Kent Bodeman, beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, passed away on July 5, 2024, on his 77th birthday. He was born on July 5, 1947, in Central City, NE. He is preceded in death by his mother Doris Bodeman and his sister Dorsey Cox. He is survived by his sister Anne Wigda, Children Sunny and Noah Bodeman, their mother Nancy Bodeman, Partner Janice Johnson, her sons Eugene and Richard Asay, grandchildren Katelin, Kaleigh, Austin, Camryn, Kole and Jackson. As well as his great grandchildren, Teagan, Indie and Ace.
Bradley worked the majority of his life as a painter and wallpaper hanger, primarily with the wonderful company he considered family, Braswell’s Paint Company, finding joy in working until the very end. Bradley loved nothing more than talking about his family. His children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family meant the absolute world to him.
Bradley had a few simple pleasures that brought him immense happiness. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing and sitting outside his house looking at the lake, taking in the beauty of nature. He was a fan of watching sports, specifically Patrick Mahomes with the Kansas City Chiefs as well as horse races, with his music blaring and a comb in his back pocket.
Bradley left a lasting impression on all those who knew him. He will be remembered for his laughter, his love for his family, and his unwavering dedication to his work. His Christian faith guided him throughout his life, providing him with strength and comfort. Bradley Kent Bodeman will be deeply missed by his family and friends. May he rest in peace, forever cherished in our hearts.
A time of gathering and visitation will be held on July 22, 2024 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Lloyd James Funeral Home, Tyler.
