Joseph E. Jones, 66 of Kimberly, died peacefully at his home October 18, 2017 due to heart failure. Joseph was born on December 13, 1950 to Kenneth and Anna Marie Jones joining one sister Edith and followed by two more sisters, Terry and Vanita and three brothers Samuel, Michael and Patrick.
Joseph attended grade schools in Gooding, Jerome, Bliss, Hansen and finally settled in Murtaugh after the family bought a small farm. Joseph graduated from Murtaugh High School in 1970.
In September 1970 Joseph married Peggy Starry of Twin Falls. In April 1971 he joined the Marines and began his military service moving Peggy to North Carolina. In November 1972 Mary Anna joined the family and in 1976 her sister Tammie Jo completed the family. After serving his country Joe was given an Honorable discharge from active service in December 1976 and he then moved the family back to Idaho.

Joseph was employed as a farmer, truck driver and a general laborer throughout his years after serving his country. He began his career with Idaho Sand and Gravel as a transport driver in 1999 changing to bulk cement drivers until his death. This was a career that Joe dearly loved and he enjoyed the people he worked with.
Joseph was a very active man with many interests. They included woodworking, playing pool, 4-wheeling, camping, throwing horse shoes and playing music. There was not anything Joe would not try and excelled in all he did. Joe made you laugh and always said that if you were laughing he was doing his job. His most undeniable trait was his generosity. He had to be helping someone always and very rarely a ask for help himself. If he did ask you, you helped because it was a privilege to do so.
