She confessed her life to Christ at an early age Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She remained a member until her passing due to health issues.
After completing her high school education at Druid High School in 1966, she decided to continue her academic journey by enrolling in Booker T. Washington College. Her passion for learning and dedication towards her work led her to pursue a bachelor's degree while working at the County Board of Education. Her journey of personal and professional growth is a testament to her hard work and determination.
She departed this earthly life on November 28, 2023, at Druid City Hospital, Tuscaloosa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Nathan Carpenter, parents, Robert L. and Willie Ann Glasper, brothers, Eugene Wilson, Wilbert Glasper, and Robert E. Glasper.
Pearl leaves to cherish her memories: aunt, Bennie L. Smith (Tommy), two sisters, Brenda Young (James), Killeen, TX, and Mary Hawkins (Walter), Northport, AL; three brothers, Curtis Glasper(Merita), Tuscaloosa, AL, Donald Glasper(Connie), Tallahassee, FL, William White(Rebeca), Austin, TX. And a bonus sister, Evelyn Crawford, beloved nieces, and nephews, and cousins and friends.
