Jon Barry Price

Jon Price, age 61, passed away in the early morning hours of October 31, 2024 at his home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Faye Price, and brother, Mell Wynn Price. Jon is survived by his father, Mell Wynn Price; his beloved wife, Tina Earnest Price; and children, Jeremy Price, Lindsay Price (James Rutherford), Marlee Turnipseed (Marc Turnipseed), Justin Earnest (Holly Earnest), and Jessica Mitchell (James Mitchell). He was a devoted grandfather to Rhett Turnipseed, Lyla Turnipseed, Luke Mitchell, Keasler Earnest, Mize Turnipseed, Suzannah Earnest, Levi Mitchell, Laney Turnipseed, and Layla Rutherford. Jon is also remembered by his siblings Ramell Brown, Teresa Johnson, Jorge Price, Simone Price , Alex Price, Summer Price, and Patrick Price, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who loved him dearly.

Jon was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son, whose love for his family was unwavering. He was known for his generosity, loyalty, and hardworking spirit, which earned him numerous awards and recognition throughout his career. A true entrepreneur, Jon’s passion for his work was matched only by his love for his family. His greatest joy was found in family gatherings, where he would share stories, laughter, and moments of happiness with those closest to him.

Outside of his work and family, Jon enjoyed spending quiet moments with a good John Grisham book, watching classic episodes of Perry Mason, cheering on the Tide and sharing memorable meals. He was never one to shy away from treating his loved ones to the best food and company.

Jon’s steadfast love, dedication, and joy for life will be dearly missed and fondly remembered. His legacy lives on in the lives of all those he touched.Pall Bearers will be Jeremy Price, Steven Taylor Brown, Justin Earnest, Marc Turnipseed, James Rutherford, and James Mitchell.

A visitation for Jon will be held Friday, November 8, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405. A funeral service will occur Friday, November 8, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405. A committal service will occur Friday, November 8, 2024 from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM at Memory Chapel Funeral Home & Memory Hill Gardens, 2200 Skyland E Blvd, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405.
