James "Tommy" Thomas Storey

He is survived by his beloved wife, of 55 years, Scarlett Oswalt Storey; daughters: Rebecca (Jim) McKenzie and Kristina (Jimbo) Fanning; his sister Mary F. Schuelly; also his beloved grandsons: James III and Andrew Thomas McKenzie, and Will Fanning, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as, Brother and Sister in Law Anthony Oswalt, Jennifer Blackburn and Mother and Father in Law Evelyn and Oliver Oswalt. He is also survived by his special friends Larry and Sue Huff & family, Doug Smith, Danny Thornton, Clarence and Paul Duncan & families, Bonnie and Scott Porter & family, David Smith, his dear high school buddy Dennis Goodman, and his faithful and loyal caregiver Tresalyn Pearson.

Tommy lived life to the fullest, he was a graduate of TCHS Class of 1966. A Baptist by faith, he was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, where he was an active leader in youth Sunday School and youth Activities. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was especially fond of his favorite companion, his horse Blaze. He also enjoyed model airplanes, camping and traveling.

A visitation is planned for Tuesday, September 07, 2021 from 1:45-2:45pm at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. A Graveside Funeral Service will immediately follow at 3:00pm from Memory Hill Gardens, Garden of Serenity, with Rev. Larry Huff and Bro. Jim Headley officiating. Services are under the direction of Memory Chapel, a Dignity memorial provider.
