Jacqueline “Jackie” Wood McIntyre, 73, of Tuscaloosa, passed away on January 14, 2021, at DCH. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, from Memory Hill Gardens, with Rev. Rob Steinbrook, Rev. Bernie Deffinger and Rev. Kenny Wyatt officiating. Final arrangements are entrusted to the care of Memory Chapel, a Dignity provider.
Jackie was born May 29, 1947 to the late Creacy Martin Wood and Denver Baxton Wood. The daughter of a Pastor, she was well travelled throughout south Alabama. She was a faithful and devoted member of the Church of the Nazarene. Active in church activities, including: singles ministries and ladies ministries, and she played the piano beautifully. A loving Mother, Grandmother and Sister, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth McIntyre.
She is survived by her sons: William B (Shannon) McIntyre and Robert V (Kim) McIntyre; sister Delores Sargent; and grandchildren: Wesley McIntyre, Shelby Johnson, Bailey-Grace McIntyre, James McIntyre and Jackson McIntyre, and her beloved dog "Molly."
The family wishes to recognize DCH COVID Unit Nurses and Staff as Honorary Pallbearers.
