David Charles Barkley

David Barkley was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ruth and Ansel Barkley; brother, Corkey Barkley; son, Andy Hutchison; daughters, Tracy Craig and Mindi Barkley and also his loving wife, Cecil Barkley of 55 years. He is survived by his daughter, Machelle Greene and sons, David Barkley (Tami) ,Mike Barkley (Angie ) ,Scott Barkley and Tim Barkley (Casey); grandchildren, Travis Hines (Carrie ), Ashley Arner(dan),Rachelle Boeve (Cody), Madison Johnson (Joseph), Dalton Estes (Brooke) , Alley Floyd, Colleen Kendall ( Ernie), Katlin Greene, Adam Barkley,Ryan Barkley, Chad Barkley ,Taylor Barkley ,Carrie Barkley , Marie Barkley , Ethan Barkley, Tim Jr. Barkley, Lucile Barkley, Isabel Barkley, Neo Barkley, Charlotte Hutchison and several great- grandchildren. David was a very strong willed man. He was a hard worker a provider and a talker. If he could sell you a car he could do anything. He never sat down. Always was busy doing something… hunting, working, golfing, grilling ……you name it he did it. He loved to travel and see all that god had to provide. He was proud of his hunts and his accomplishments in law enforcement and in everyday life. He loved his church family and Sunday school and enjoyed spending time in the church. David Barkley wasn’t only a husband, father, grandfather, he was a great great man. Celebration of life for David Barkley will be held November 6,2023 at 11 a.m at Memory Chapel Funeral Home on Skyland Blvd. East, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35405.
