MOUNDVILLE - Boyd Jackson Stevens, Jr., age 65, of Moundville, Ala., died April 18, 2018 in Moundville, Ala. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at Mt. Ivah Cemetery. Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, is directing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Boyd Jackson Stevens, Sr.; and mother, Winnie Mae Stevens.
Survivors include his daughter, Christy Stevens; son, Mitch Stevens (Angie); sister, Barbara Ann Tipper; brother, Roy Stevens; and grandchildren Aleice Stevens, Nate Stevens and Gavin Sparks.
Boyd was born October 6, 1952 in Tuscaloosa, Ala. He was the son of Boyd Sr. and Winnie Mae Stevens. Boyd worked for B.F. Goodrich for 20 plus years until he retired. For the ones that knew Boyd knew he could be stubborn, but would give you the shirt off his back. He was a loving father, father-in-law and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by those that were near and dear to his heart. There will never be another grandpa like this grandpa.
Pallbearers will be Allen Gant, Keith Henry, Billy Holiday, Don Tucker, Boy Pate and Tom Pate.
Honorary pallbearer is Brandon Henson.
