Olga M. Gomes, age 70, of Winton, California passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2019. She was born June 27, 1949 in Santo Amaro, São Jorge, Açores to Serafina da Rosa Sequeira and Jaime Soares Bettencourt.
Olga is survived by: her husband of 47 years, José I. Gomes of Winton; son Danny W. Gomes (Michelle) of Winton; her two grandchildren David Gomes Jr. and Jolene Gomes; sister Telma daCosta of Winton; brother Steve Bettencourt of Turlock; and brother Leo Bettencourt of Modesto. Mrs. Gomes also leaves behind many in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews to honor her memory.
She was preceded in death by her son Joseph Gomes in 2011, her son David Gomes in 2019, and her parents.
A visitation for Mrs. Olga M. Gomes will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Igreja Portuguesa Nova Esperança: 20019 Bloss Avenue, Hilmar, California. A funeral service will be following the visitation from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. She will be laid to rest after the services at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery: 701 E. J Street, Oakdale, California.
Serving as pallbearers are Danny Gomes, David Gomes Jr., Steve Bettencourt, Anthony Bettencourt, John daCosta, and Matthew daCosta.
