With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Miguel G. Melgoza, who left us on September 24, 2024 at the age of 67. Miguel was a man of unwavering principles, boundless humor, and deep love for his family. His life was a testament to courage, conviction, and the power of laughter.
Miguel was never one to shy away from standing up for what he believed in. Whether defending his loved ones, his community, or his values, he did so with strength, passion, and a fierce sense of justice. He could always be heard speaking out for what was right, even when it wasn’t easy. Miguel was a man who lived with integrity, and his example inspired those around him.
Despite his strong convictions, Miguel never took life too seriously. His sense of humor was legendary, and he had an uncanny ability to make people laugh at just the right moment. His quick wit and playful spirit could turn any situation into one filled with joy and levity. To be around him was to know the warmth of laughter, the kind that could light up a room and bring people together.
But more than anything, Miguel was a devoted family man. His love for his family was unwavering and all-encompassing. His greatest joy in life was the time he spent with his children and the rest of his extended family. Miguel’s pride in his family was immeasurable, and his love was a constant source of strength for them.
Though Miguel is no longer with us, his memory will forever live on in the laughter, love, and courage he shared with all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, humor, and unshakable values.
Miguel is survived by his children Paul Melgoza, Peter Melgoza, Miguel Melgoza and daughter Elizabeth Taylor, his siblings Raul Melgoza, Jesus Melgoza, Eusebio Melgoza, Lucia Londoño and Elisa Melgoza, his grandchildren Peter, Ayana, Jacob, Isabella, Athena, Natalie, Paul, Phoebe, Valerie and Gianna.
Rest in peace, Miguel. You may be gone, but your family and friends will forever carry your laughter, love and spirit within their hearts.
A Funeral Mass for Miguel will be held Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 2602 S. Walnut Road, Turlock, California 95380. Following the funeral mass will be a Committal Service at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Road, Turlock, CA 95380.
