Joseph "Joe" Oliveira Rocha

Joseph "Joe" Oliveira Rocha, age 80, of Turlock, California passed away at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, on Monday, October 10, 2022. Joe was born in Augalva, Terçeira, Açores to Maria Augusta Rocha and Serafim L. Rocha.

Joe is survived by his spouse of 36 years, Lourdes L. Rocha of Turlock; his son Joseph O. Rocha (Jill) of Turlock, his daughters Nicole Fernandes (Paul) also of Turlock and Mary Fatima Rocha of Idaho. Mr. Rocha is also survived by his brother Manuel Rocha (Linda) of Gustine his sisters Mary Rocha of Livingston and and Hilary Borba (Manuel) of Los Banos. Mr. Rocha leaves behind his grandchildren, Joseph O. Rocha III (Christina), Jessica Sousa (Eric), Janell Trousdale, Desiree Bothof (Donnie), Teresa Pereira, Tony Sorensen Pereira (Meghan), Paul Pereira, Cecilia Zaks (Matt), John Fernandes and Matt Fernandes (Jarika) along with 19 great grandchildren to honor his memory.

Joe was preceded in death by his first wife, Loretta M. Rocha, his parents Serafin L. Rocha and Maria Augusta Rocha along with his brother Luis O. Rocha.

A visitation for Joe will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 West Main, Turlock, CA 95380.

A Rosary Service followed by a Funeral Mass will occur Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 8471 Cypress Street, Hilmar, CA 95324.

A Committal Service will occur Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Turlock Memorial Park 275 N. Soderquist Road. Turlock, CA 95380

Serving as pallbearers are Joe Rocha III, Paul Pereira, Tony Sorensen Pereira, John Fernandes, Matthew Fernandes, Donnie Bothof, Eric Sousa and Matt Zaks.
