Cesar Fernandes, age 82, of Turlock, California passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019. He was born August 24, 1936 in Vale de Maceira, Coimbra, Portugal to Maquelina da Peidade and Antonio Fernandes.
Cesar is survived by: his wife of 55 years, Maria Fernandes of Turlock; son José Fernandes (Evlen Fernandes) of Newman; and daughter Maria Johnson of Turlock; sister Saltina da Peidade Fernandes; grandchildren Noah Fernandes, Jordan Johnson, Jaylen Johnson, Jesenia Johnson, and Jasmine Sedlmeyer; great grandchildren Kylo Sedlmeyer, Braelyn Sedlmeyer, Tatyanna Saffell, Aries Saffell, and Aubrey Saffell.
Mr. Fernandes was preceded in death by his parents, Miquelina da Peidade and Antonio Fernandes.
He was a dedicated parishioner of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Turlock, California.
A visitation for Mr. Cesar Fernandes will occur from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service: 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California. During the visitation there will be a recitation of the rosary at 7:00 PM.
A funeral mass will occur at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church: 2602 S. Walnut Road, Turlock, California. He will be laid to rest following the service at Turlock Memorial Park: 575 N. Soderquist Road, Turlock, California.
Mrs. Maria Fernandes will not be receiving visitors at this time. Thank you.
