Ben was born on July 12, 1964 in Modesto, California. A passionate camper, he spent countless weekends exploring the wilderness and enjoying nature. His enthusiasm for camping was rivaled only by his enjoyment of cooking. He delighted friends and family with delicious meals as it was one way he showed his love for others.
A true globetrotter, Ben’s adventurous spirit led him to explore the history of places near and far. He cherished every opportunity to immerse himself in the stories of the past, often regaling loved ones with tales from his travels. His curiosity about history was infectious, inspiring those around him to appreciate the world in new ways.
Above all, Ben was known for his kindness and caring nature. He had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel valued and loved, often going out of his way to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear. His warmth and compassion touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him. Anyone who knew him will miss his gentle spirit and infectious laughter.
Ben is survived by his siblings Thomas L. Howlett (Ruby) of Reno, Nevada, and Tony A. Howlett (Becki) of Fernley, Nevada, and his nieces Corinna Howlett and Emily Howlett.
Ben was proceeded in death by his parents, Nova D. Howlett and Thomas Linwood Howlett, his grandparents Clyde and Maude Mayberry, his uncles Richard and Doyle Mayberry, and his aunt Audrey Helton.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024, at the Sunnyside Cemetery,20085 3rd Avenue, Stevinson, Ca, 95374.
