Stephen Rhodes

Stephen, the oldest son of Wayne and Linda, traveled the United States as the son of a Navy Senior Chief. The Rhodes family lived in Boston, Massachusetts; San Diego, California; and several locations in Washington State.

He was a 1989 graduate of Tumwater High School; and graduated from Western Washington University in 1994 with his Bachelor degree in Psychology. Stephen was in the Army Reserves and deployed to Haiti in 1993 with the United Nations on a Peace Keeping mission. He had fond memories of his time in Haiti.

Stephen enjoyed learning and coupled with his love for psychology, he pursued his dreams and received his Masters from Chapman University in 2000. He enjoyed helping others and volunteered with the Crisis Clinic of Thurston County. He was also on their Board of Directors for many years. He worked as a Counselor for Department of Corrections, and as a Workers' Compensation Adjudicator for Labor & Industries.

He enjoyed camping, reading, writing, science fiction, laughing, and spending time with his family – especially his niece Aubrey.

Stephen is survived by his loving parents Wayne and Linda Rhodes; younger brother Keith Rhodes; sister-in-law Stephanie Rhodes; niece Aubrey and nephew Brody. He is also survived by his loving grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
