He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Maree (DeMaree) Quade, daughter Jennifer (Brad) Chatwood, son John (Amber) Quade, daughter Becky Quade, brother-in-law Brian (Sherry) DeMaree of Alberta, Canada, and extended family in New York.
Bob was born in Niagara Falls, NY, spending his younger years there before joining the Army at 18. After 2 tours in Vietnam, Bob settled in Western Washington with his bride, where they started their family. In 1988 they moved to Centralia, WA, to run their equipment rental store. For the next 25 years, Bob kept busy working in the community, painting over graffiti, sponsoring youth sports teams, and volunteering with the local police department. But most important to him was his family and spending time with them.
After retiring, Bob spent time on his hobbies such as woodworking and repairing and restoring small engines. In 2013 he and Maree moved to Tumwater to be closer to their children. They spent their weekends taking walks around the Olympia area, visiting over coffee, and just enjoying the company of each other.
