Lester (Les) C. McDonald, 76, died November 8, 2016 after a lengthy illness. He was born November 21, 1939 in Puyallup. His Parents Charles D. and Evelyn Nelson McDonald of Kent, both preceded him in death.
Mr. McDonald lived nearly all is life in Washington State. He graduated from Kent Meridian High School, attended the University of WA., and graduated from
Griffin Murphy Business College.
He was an M.P. in the US Army 1963 to 1965. Les worked for the Nakat Fish Packing Corp. in Seattle and Alaska, before moving to Olympia in 1975. He was an accountant for the Olympia Brewing Company for 27 years, retiring in 2002.
Les loved camping, gardening and wood working.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Donna; his four children: Rick Helberg, Olympia; Deb Lince, Tumwater; Chris McDonald, Brentwood, CA.; Jennifer McDonald, Olympia; and 9 grandchildren. Also a brother, Larry McDonald, Wenatchee; and a sister Sandy, Seattle.
At Mr. McDonald's request, there will be no funeral services. The family wishes to thank all of the many caregivers who have helped Lester and his family, especially in the past two years.
