Reverend John Burnett graduated from Northwest College, earned a Master's Degree from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary and was a dissertation away from earning a Doctorate in Education at North Texas State University.
John and his wife Joyce, pastored churches in Burlington and Belfair, Washington before starting an extensive career in foreign missions. They raised two daughters, Sue and Pam, while serving in the Philippines. They later served in Belgium, the U.S. and South Africa, where John retired after serving over eight years as the Academic Dean at Cape Theological Seminary.
The family asks for donations in lieu of flowers. Donations can be sent to Evergreen Christian Community and designated for Cape Theological Seminary, Jeff and Pam Gregory's missions account, or the missions account of Vicki and Chris Jovanovic.
