Jennifer Crumley

Beloved mother, spouse, sister and daughter, Jennifer “Jen” Crumley passed away peacefully on December 26, 2017 after a gallant fight with pancreatic cancer. Jennifer was a strong woman who loved life, friends and family.

Jen is survived by her husband Scott, sons Joe and Zach, family pet dog “Duke”, father Joe Williams, mother Marilyn Williams, and sister Abra Williams. Jen also has many extended family members who she has maintained a close and loving relationship.

Jen was born in Seattle on November 5, 1969, and raised in Olympia beginning in 1977. Jen attended Pioneer Elementary, Washington Middle School, and Olympia High School. During her early years Jen enjoyed biking, hiking, canoeing, ballet, and road trips with her family to National Parks, Disneyland, and Hawaii. During high school Jen was active in softball and dance team. After graduating from Olympia High School in 1987 Jen attended Washington State University where she took course work in hotel/restaurant management. Jen moved to Orcas Island and worked at Rosario Resort before finding her professional career as the Director of Nutritional Services at Panorama in Lacey.

Affectionately known as Mama Bear to her family, Jen was a devoted mother and spouse. Jen enjoyed many activities with her family and loved to travel. The family has endless memories of her favorite family destinations in Mexico, Hawaii, and Canada as well as Disneyland, Las Vegas, Leavenworth, Sun River and parts in between. During the family’s travels Jen showed an uncanny ability to relate to and connect with a wide range of people from all over the world. Jen’s big heart, great sense of humor and witty personality endeared her to friends, family, co-workers, and even strangers. She made friends wherever she went and was loved by all.

Jen enjoyed reading, gift giving, celebrating holidays and birthdays with family, dining out, grilling with family and friends, playing black jack, watching her two boys play varsity basketball together, and spending time with her best friend and sister Abra. Most of all she enjoyed being a GREAT wife and mother. We love you Mama Bear.

There will be a Celebration Of Life service in honor of Jennifer on Saturday, Jan. 13th, 2018 at 1pm at Mills & Mills Funeral Home, 5725 Littlerock Rd SW, Tumwater WA 98512.
