passed away in a logging accident on Harstine Island
when Carol was 14 years old. Irene and Carol stayed
in the Yelm area until Carol graduated from Yelm

Zac and Addie).
Carol was preceded in death by her
son, James Alfred Echtle Jr. on March 11, 1994 and
her mother, Irene Edith Clara Seemuth Potts March
10, 2003.
Carol was blessed with 8 great
grandchildren. Carol loved her family and the time
she spent with them was important to her, especially
holiday celebrations
To know our mom, you will acknowledge she had a
passion to keep busy. Even after a successful career
with Thurston County Juvenile Court, she continued
to work as a grocery store demonstrator to keep
herself busy. She loved to foster these relationships
out in the community. The confinement of Covid 19
was not easy for her. Once the world opened up
again, she began working/volunteering at Peer
Olympia. Carol fought hard through medical issues
that would keep most people down, but she lived her
life out the way she wanted.
A celebration of life for Carol will be held Friday, April 28, 2023 at 10:00 AM.
