Dad proudly served in the United States Army as a PVT-1. He married in 1960 and had four children. He worked for the Tucson Unified School District as part of the Purchasing/Warehouse Services Team and retired after 29+ years. Dad loved the game of Baseball and played for many years. He enjoyed watching the Little League World Series, College Baseball, MLB, and especially looked forward to watching the World Series every year. He saw the 2022 World Series to the end and even predicted the winning team. Dad’s other interests included sitting peacefully outside, listening and singing to music, watching the great-grandkids play, and weekly outings with his brothers.
He was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew him. He was a kind, gentle, and giving man with a huge heart. Rest in peace Dad/Tata Willie. Watch over us until we meet again.
