Teresa was born on October 15th, 1935 in Hurley, New Mexico. She graduated from St. Mary's Catholic High School and received her high school diploma. Here she made lifelong friendships and even won the prom queen.
She met, fell in love, and married Francisco Jose Cervantez on June 29th, 1957. Six beautiful, healthy children followed this union.
Teresa was devoted to her work as a cafeteria worker at Mission Manor Elementary in Tucson, Arizona for 20+ years.
She was a loyal member of St. Monica Catholic Church and had a true passion and love for her faith. Teresa's passions did not stop there as she loved spending time with her family, cooking, dancing, watching old westerns, not to mention making her daily/nightly calls to family and friends to remind them they were loved and thought of constantly, and doing the Lord's work.
To know Teresa is to know love as she will forever be known, remembered, and treasured for the incredible amount of love she has given everyone and anyone that has had the privilege to know her. She will also be greatly remembered for instilling confidence and faith in people by spreading her positivity. She was greatly cherished and appreciated by her community.

She is preceded in death by her parents Louisa and Juan Jaurequi; two sisters Anita and Carmen; four brothers Manuel, Nacho, Joe, and Johnny; great granddaughter Anisett Elisa Islas; grandson Hector Ernesto Coronado.
She is survived by siblings and their spouses Mary and Arthur Archuleta, Frankie and Maxine Jaurequi, Alex and Patty Jaurequi; Children and their spouses Michael and Liza Cervantez, Patricia Ann Cervantez, Barbara and Jesus Ruiz, Peter and Nancy Cervantez, Edward Joe Cervantez, Mary and Ernesto Coronado, 24 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren, as well as one great, great grandchild.
She will be greatly missed, forever cherished, and just a prayer away.
