     From the first time we met our son’s father-in -law, we were welcomed as part of the family with open arms and a huge hug with gracious enthusiasm and a keen interest.
     Since then, we have been privileged to share many meals, holidays, and even a fantastic fiftieth anniversary celebration for Josie and Jimmy at Disneyland!
     What a fine and distinguished gentleman!  Jimmy was always the perfect  host and pleasurable guest, an overall fun person whose company we enjoyed.
     We will miss him very much!  Rest In Peace, dear Jimmy, with your beloved Josie.



Whenever I hear the word “gentlemen “, Mr. Tapia will always come to mind.  He led his family with dignity, devotion and insight.   We will all miss his smile, his hugs and his stories.  

My wife Jenny and I have known who Mr. Tapia was for most of our adult life's, but had never meet him.   We finally meet him and Mrs. Tapia after reuniting with our god daughter - Diana Williams.

Boy did we miss out as Mr. Tapia is a great story teller and was wonderful to be around.  We quickly became friends.

One of the things I will miss is whenever I saw him he would say my friend, my friend with a big smile and hug for me.  He will be deeply missed as in the short time that I knew him he was my friend.

Jimmy was the definition of quiet strength.  I know that he loved to tell stories (and people hung in his every word) but he could also say so much with so few words.  He was truly a lovely man and anyone who knew him was the better for have done so.  He will be greatly missed.

Diana, we are all so very sorry for the loss of your Dad. He was such a strong and good man. They don’t make men like him anymore! I loved seeing him at family parties and speaking with him in Spanish, which he often corrected. I loved watching the love and respect he and your mom had for one another. I could always see their bond when they were together. Praying for your strength as you navigate this incredibly difficult time. May God hold you close and may your memories bring your heart some peace. Love you! 

Please accept  my sincere  deepest sympathies and  condolences on the loss of your beloved father. I only had the opportunity to meet Mr. Tapia a few times at family gatherings. I remember him being very kind and caring man, as well one with a sense of humor. rest in peace Mr. Tapia

I will always remember my Nino as “my man”! Always a  positive attitude about life. I strive to remain as active as my Nino was throughout his entire life. His physical being was that of an anomaly at his age, as many people much younger could not physically do what he could. He proved that if we treat our bodies right, it will payoff as we age.  I will always treasure my memories of him taking me fishing and camping as a youngster. I am saddened to lose my last surviving uncle, but thrilled  for him to receive his eternal life. My prayers are for his children and his grandchildren, as their matriarch has moved up the ladder. His work was done here, and He will certainly have a large welcome party as he deserves upon his arrival.

I’m so fortunate to have married one of your grandchildren. Thank you for always loving him and showing up for him. The way you would tell stories of Michael as a child and sing songs to Alayna is something I’ll never be able to forget. Thank you for letting me be a part of your family, hug Nana for us, and we will never forget your ‘flex’.  I love and miss you.
